In the summer of 2027, this townhouse will become the Vakwerk co-working space and the headquarters of Veldhuis Architectuur — during WONDER, you can explore the exhibition ECHOES OF THE EARTH in the shell spaces.
ECHOES OF THE EARTH brings together projects that approach art and design as living, ongoing processes. From fermenting bodies and growing micro-ecosystems to circular building systems and bio-based materials: each work emphasises transformation, time and interdependence.
The installations shift the focus from finished objects to collective making practices, in which knowledge, materials and the environment are in constant interaction. This gives rise to a sensory and critical reflection on how we produce, live and coexist, and reveals alternatives for more sustainable and regenerative forms of design.
