What defines us as human beings? How do we view ourselves? What is a portrait?
In Nafsi – Arabic for ‘my soul’ – Milouda El Kaddouri takes us on a personal journey of discovery exploring identity, memory and connection. Using self-portraits, photography and a variety of materials, she creates a multi-layered visual language. The exhibition shows how every person is unique, yet at our core we are all the same.

Mikado Masks, a project in collaboration with Jerom&Jerom, Compagnie Cordiale and Pamele.

Mikado demonstrates how people, with diverse mental, physical and geographical backgrounds, are inextricably linked. No one chooses their place within the whole. Just as in the game, it is not a single stick that determines the outcome, but the cohesion, tension and balance between all the parts.
