MOTIEF

MOTIEF is a collective of seven recent interior design graduates from LUCA School of Arts in Ghent and Brussels. They come from different backgrounds and each has their own way of seeing and creating. What brings them together is, above all, a desire to keep discovering.

A motif is something that recurs. A form, an idea, a movement or a material. Something you encounter again and again, yet which can take on a different form each time. In their own work, there are elements that keep recurring. Elements they return to time and again, and which evolve alongside what they create.

But ‘motif’ also means why you do something. What drives you to create, to experiment and to keep searching. That is also why they come together. They want to inspire and challenge one another and, above all, to create a great deal.
