Mikado Masks, a project in collaboration with Jerom&Jerom, Compagnie Cordiale and Pamele.
Mikado demonstrates how people, from diverse mental, physical and geographical backgrounds, are inextricably linked. No one chooses their place within the whole. Just as in the game, it is not a single stick that determines the outcome, but the cohesion, tension and balance between all the parts.
Jerom is a Belgian artist and designer. His work always stems from a playful perspective: he approaches materials, space and collaboration as a form of play, experimentation and trial and error.

Play is central to every piece: devising rules, challenging materials, breaking versus respecting techniques.  His focus lies primarily on the process leading up to a result. Building something together with others that invites movement or simply brings a smile to your face is part of that process.
Jerom works in a context-driven and process-oriented way, with a focus on sustainability, the reuse of materials, and a clear technical foundation—always with a touch of humour and an invitation to join in the play.
