LichtVizier is a light installation in which poetry, colour and space come together to form a unique work of art. A visual focal point that adds atmosphere and reinforces a space’s identity.
This project emerged following a year and a half of research into the theme of social safety, using Het Glazen Straatje in Ghent as a case study. Rather than focusing on the negative, I set out to explore the positive aspects that are not immediately apparent.
The message behind this poem is an invitation to be open to uncomfortable situations and to let go of your preconceptions. It encourages you to consciously take more time to reflect on your surroundings and focus on their positive aspects: What is actually working? In this way, you create your own perspective that can change your mindset.
