In collaboration with TAJO vzw, an organisation that supports children from vulnerable home backgrounds, Neoza Goffin ran workshops for 260 children. Together, they created mixed-media artworks based on a single theme: self-love. The rule was simple yet powerful: for every piece of material a child added to their work, they first had to think something positive about themselves, either out loud or silently in their head. A little compliment to themselves, before the material touched the canvas.
During the closing event, all 260 children laid their finished works out together on the floor. The result was a collective artwork on the theme of self-love, captured from the air by a drone. This collaborative work was subsequently exhibited at the SMAK museum in Ghent and is now travelling on to the WONDER Festival.
