The future is being shaped right now — in studios, classrooms and businesses. WONDER brings together the people who are shaping it: designers, artists, businesses, students and the public, centred around one key question: how do we want to live, create and coexist?
At 23 locations across Kortrijk city centre, you’ll discover how design can take on a variety of roles today: as a social meeting place, as a source of playful imagination, as a critical reflection on technology, as a driving force for ecological transformation, as a transparent creative process and as a vehicle for regional craftsmanship. In this way, we offer a lens through which to discover the richness of the projects on display and illustrate how design continually forges new connections between people, materials, industry, technology and society. Particular attention is once again paid to a new generation of designers, artists and makers who are experimenting with materials, technologies and social issues.
At the Flanders Technology & Innovation Festival in Kortrijk, visitors can discover the latest developments in areas including AI, health technology, STEM robotics, drones, gaming and more.
