This edition brings together weaving, painting and performing art around a pressing discourse on the female body , its power and its threat. Both abstract and figurative. The audience wanders around the installation of Pé Vermeersch's new creation built around the iconic figure Mata Hari. On four evenings, the public can also see the first series of try-outs of the new creation with the impressionable Italian Angela Babuin in a duo with Pé Vermeersch In the other rooms, artist/painter Ingrid Casteleyn enters into a dialogue with art historian Paul Vandenbroeck's top collection of female traditional Berber weavings with her sensuous abstract work. Her paintings, textiles and performances, all layered bodies that have the courage to choose beauty resolutely. As always, a surprising experiential exhibition.
