LouLou Joao - The Picknick

Loulou Joao is a visual storyteller who works across everything 3D, from animation and illustration to ceramics and set design. Her practice is deeply inspired by her Congolese heritage, where she sees Blackness as a dynamic, evolving technology that shapes her identity and fuels her artistic growth. A dreamer by nature, Loulou often retreats into her own vibrant world, filled with bold, bubbly shapes, drizzled in a candy coated glaze. Through worldbuilding and character creation, she invites others into her universe, working with clients like BBC, MTV, Spotify, BMW, The New Yorker, and Nickelodeon.
