Residual flows from companies that are no longer needed in the production process often end up as waste, are exported, or at best, recycled. However, these high-quality materials are still perfectly usable in their current form. With BENDig, we give residual flows a second life. Our network consists of local companies and organizations that highly value sustainability and circularity. Through BENDig, we systematically collect the residual flows from affiliated companies, such as unused materials or offcuts. These are then made available locally to designers, organizations, makers, students, and creatives. Get creative yourself and create unique, meaningful applications with our materials! By working with residual flows, waste is minimized, and raw materials are given a second life locally.
BENDig was born out of the passion and vision of industrial designer Tore Bleuzé. The name BENDig comes from the West Flemish word "bendig," which means "frugal" and "economical." It also refers to the English word "bend," meaning "to curve" or "to bend." With BENDig, we aim to help bend the linear economy into a circular one.
At Wonder Festival, we are presenting BENDig, showcasing our range of materials and some great applications created by our customers over the past year.
