Twisted trash

Mavable is a textile design studio focused on circularity and rope as a material, founded by Maëva Blanchard. Specializing in rope-making, she has developed a low-tech machine to produce her pieces from post-consumer textile waste. She transforms these ropes into functional, custom-made objects and for scenography and installations by other designers and artists. Her practice resembles contemporary trimmings. Sometimes sinuous and airy, sometimes dense and plush, her work takes shape in both surface and volume. 
For Wonder, she presents a living room teeming with details, composed of a curtain, a light fixture, a chair, and a rug. Her installation explores beauty in the age of eco-design.
