The last supper

Solide Atelier and TOIETMOI Studio are gathering knowledge and energy to further develop their research around earth-based design. In an era of appearance and imitation, this installation celebrates the raw and the imperfect by shining light on a material often considered as waste but which turns into gold for those who know how to work with it. The installation showcases a dinner table made of rammed earth — a reinterpretation of a 10 m long table originally created for a scenographic dinner of 32 people. Rather than remaining fixed in a single moment, the dinner continues to travel through space, extending its presence and offering a shared, global experience. Each iteration carries forward the same invitation: to explore, touch and experience earth in both its polished and raw states.

Yet, earth holds immense potential, both aesthetically and functionally. This table represents just a small fragment of the possibilities that this material offers, especially when integrated into everyday objects with strong recycling and sustainability qualities. The table presented here captures the quiet moment at the end of a grounded dining experience. Glasses and candles just remain, as if paused in time, waiting to be reused for the next gathering—continuing the cycle of connection between people, material, and environment.
