Amidst a festival buzzing with ideas, innovations and stimuli, Stofwolk reserved one space at the Ann Bonneux studio for the opposite. What visitors find there is difficult to describe, and that is precisely the intention.

“Sorry for the emptiness. She’s doing her best.”

SORRY FOR THE EMPTINESS is an installation based on a single conviction: namely, that creativity does not begin with the idea, but with an empty space in which it can emerge. In an era of performance measurement, time efficiency and the glorification of digitalisation, the installation poses a simple yet urgent question: what if we took our creative wellbeing just as seriously as our output?

The installation is an initiative by Ann Bonneux (STOFWOLK), a studio offering training programmes for creative professionals who wish to continue developing, or for companies seeking to discover or expand their creative potential.
