In 2026, Designregio Kortrijk and Nerdlab will jointly organise a new edition of Designers in Residence Kortrijk. Designers in Residence Kortrijk 2026 is based on a shared ambition of both organisations: to create space for experimentation and critical design research, whilst developing new formats to bring design and digital culture to a wider audience.
During the residency, which runs from 7 September to 5 December, the three selected designers – Floor Berkhout (NL), Oleksandr Sirous (UKR) and Sergio Pinilla Lopez (ES, NL) – will develop an experimental project at the intersection of design, technology and society, culminating in a presentation at the WONDER Festival in Kortrijk and the Mutation Festival in Ghent.
