Designers in Residence Kortrijk 2025

Designers in Residence Kortrijk annually invites three young designers from all over the world for a three-month creative journey. They develop an experimental concept at the interface of society, entrepreneurship and education. In 2025, Design Region Kortrijk collaborates with ABBY Kortrijk on the theme ‘Metamorphosis’. The residents experiment, research, share their knowledge and let their imagination run wild.

‘Metamorphosis’ is all about rethinking and reinventing materials, ideas and identities. Here, ceramics - with its transformation from soft clay to hard, durable object - are a powerful symbol of change and creation.
