BLACKWOOL × MINIMETRE
9000m 4555g Multimix – 55h34 ceramic is an installation born from the encounter between two complementary practices: ceramic 3D printing developed by Bérénice de Salvatore (STUDIO MINIMETRE), and textile research led by Pauline Dornat (BLACKWOOL), centered around the Multimix yarn — made from local wool and textile waste.
Conceived as a tribute to what usually remains hidden, the piece brings to light the tools — often tucked away in studios — and the yarn, discreet yet ever-present in our daily lives. By revealing them, the installation seeks to restore value to the gestures, processes, and know-how that shape material. Through this work, BlackWool and Minimetre express a shared vision: blurring the boundaries between art, craft, and design, and building bridges between traditional and digital craftsmanship. Here, the tool becomes a common language, a means of transmission and creation.
