The future? Dare to think, dare to do!

We live in a world full of products that influence our daily lives. At the same time, we are increasingly aware of the effects these products have on both people and the environment. Designers play a dual role: they create products that can be potentially harmful, but they also have the power to bring about positive change with their designs.

The question is how the new generation of designers approaches this complexity, how they dare to think, but most importantly, how they dare to do. The UGent Industrial Design Engineering Technology (IO) students are presented with a real business case in their master's thesis. In this exhibit, the IO students show how they tackled this complex challenge.
