Ouroboros

Deltalight shows how lighting can be more than a functional object. The Ouroboros forms the core of our lighting installation, located in Broeltoren Zuid. Traditionally depicted as a snake devouring its own tail in a circle, the Ouroboros symbolises the endless cycle of life and transformation.

With this, Deltalight refers to their vision of circularity. They also propose a luminaire concept made from ‘aluminium slag’, a by-product of aluminium remelting. This shows how even residual material can be transformed. Robust and industrial, yet light and dynamic - the luminaire concept is an ode to the constant cycles of transformation that occur both in nature and design.
