Audrey Large’s practice takes the form of an interdisciplinary design that investigates digital cinema and image-making as a field of research for reconsidering how we think about and shape matter in response to today’s exponential digitization.
In this exhibition, the artist focuses on the solidification of digital images through virtual reality sculpting and various digital fabrication processes, such as 3D printing. Gesture and simulation are at the heart of the project, in which technology is embraced with sensitivity and emotion in order to create pieces that challenge the way we perceive reality.
